Book "A History of Pharmacies"

Did you know that it was in pharmacies that most Portuguese had their first contact with a computer? That ANF fought for the introduction of generics in the national market since the 80s? That between late 1993 and 2001, pharmacy intervention prevented more than 7,200 new HIV/AIDS infections for every 10,000 injecting drug users? Did you know that on several occasions, over the last 40 years, the Portuguese only had access to reimbursed medicines because the pharmacies, through their Association, bore the costs of them? Did you know that the Pharmacy Museum was born from donations from pharmacists? To a large extent, writing about the history of ANF is writing about the history of Portuguese pharmacies. Thus, they have a significant presence in this book, evocative of the organization's 40th anniversary.
